About

My work aims to improve the quality, integrity and accessibility of information flows. I have been working for twelve years as a historian and linguist in the arts and humanities and media- and software industries in New York, Boston and Amsterdam. I’ve worked for well-known lawyers, European book publishers, Ivy league universities and multinationals like Time Inc., DPG and Atlassian.

I studied Language and Culture Studies (BA, 2006) and History of International Relations (MA, 2007) at Utrecht University and Journalism (MSc, 2009) at Columbia University in New York. In the public sphere I am an advocate for freedom of information, a fundamental human right.
