My work aims to improve the quality and accessibility of information. I have been doing this for more than ten years for well-known lawyers, academics at Harvard and Nyenrode, many book publishers like Taschen and HarperCollins, media like Time Inc., software and technology companies like Atlassian and Canon, and I do so mainly through editing, writing, translation and localization.

I studied Language and Culture Studies (BA, 2006) and History of International Relations (MA, 2007) at Utrecht University and Journalism (MSc, 2009) at Columbia University in New York. I have lived and worked in New York and Boston for five years before moving back to my native country, The Netherlands, in 2016. In the public sphere I am an advocate for freedom of information, a fundamental human right. This entails a focus on the accessibility, transparency and integrity of information flows.
