My work aims to improve the quality and accessibility of information. I do this freelance for independent media outlets and artists. Previously I worked for well-known lawyers, academics at Harvard and Nyenrode, book publishers like Taschen and HarperCollins, media conglomerates like Time Inc., DPG, and multinationals like Atlassian and Canon. I contribute mainly through editorial work, writing, project management, translation and localization.

I studied Language and Culture Studies (BA, 2006) and History of International Relations (MA, 2007) at Utrecht University and Journalism (MSc, 2009) at Columbia University in New York. I lived and worked in New York and Boston for five years before moving back to my native country, The Netherlands, in 2016. In the public sphere I am an advocate for freedom of information, a fundamental human right.
